This combination, coupled with her formal undergraduate training of education at Purdue University and graduate training at Indiana Wesleyan, provided her with a diverse and yet unique perspective on childhood education. Throughout her 11+ years of teaching in Indiana and Georgia public schools, Mrs. Pegues was a leader in driving curriculum changes and programs designed to elevate students’ learning.
